The Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) has apprehended three individuals for allegedly facilitating operations and representing the interests of notorious Dutch fugitive Jos Leijdekkers, widely known as “Bolle Jos,” within Ghana.
According to an official press statement released on Monday, September 14, 2026, by PNCO Francis Opoku Amoah, Acting Director of Public Affairs & International Relations, the suspects remain in NACOC custody as investigators work to determine their specific involvement in the international trafficking ring.
The enforcement action comes on the heels of a major cocaine seizure reported by French customs officials, which was tied to the broader syndicate. NACOC emphasized that the arrests reinforce Ghana’s firm commitment to preventing the nation from becoming a transit point, operational base, or safe haven for transnational drug cartels.
Moving forward, the commission pledged to maintain tight cooperation with both domestic and international law enforcement agencies to dismantle the financial and logistical infrastructure of illicit networks, while strictly adhering to statutory legal protections for all individuals under investigation.
