Guinea’s business sector has mobilized 42 dump trucks, six pieces of heavy machinery, and thousands of liters of fuel to reinforce waste collection and sanitation operations across Greater Conakry.
Handed over during an official ceremony in Kaloum led by Prime Minister Amadou Oury Bah and Minister of Sanitation and Water Resources Aboubacar Camara, the fleet and operational supplies will support municipal cleanup efforts leading into the nation’s 68th independence anniversary celebrations on October 2.
The corporate logistics package combines assets from the General Confederation of Enterprises of Guinea (CGE-GUI) and the Guinea Chamber of Mines, featuring trucks, wheel loaders, backhoes, and protective gear for municipal sanitation crews. Deployments will remain active through October 5 to handle increased urban waste loads during the holiday period. Prime Minister Bah emphasized that public-private coordination on municipal services aligns with broader urban modernization goals aimed at building sustainable waste management systems across the expanding capital.
