Prime Minister Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo has called upon the Burkinabè armed forces to intensify their campaign against terrorism, urging them to deliver the “final blow to the enemy.”
The Prime Minister’s rallying cry was made on Friday, October 24, 2025, during a meeting with troops at Camp Général Tiémoko Marc Garango in Tenkodogo, in the Nakambé region. Acting on behalf of the Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, the Prime Minister praised the bravery, sense of duty, and determination of the soldiers deployed across the country.
“You are the pride of the Burkinabè people. Thanks to your commitment, your spirit of sacrifice, and your courage, many people are regaining their dignity by returning to their villages and resuming their activities,” Ouédraogo told the forces.
Ouédraogo specifically called on the fighting forces to redouble their vigilance and consolidate recent gains through unity across the military and close collaboration with the civilian population.
“The time has come to deliver the final blow to the enemy,” he declared, pushing for a decisive surge to fully reclaim the integrity of the national territory.
The Head of Government also reassured the soldiers of the State’s determination to continue improving their living conditions and strengthening their operational capabilities, primarily through increased personnel and enhanced equipment.
“We are, like you, resolutely committed to repelling the enemy and liberating all areas still under control. Our country will regain its dignity, its sovereignty, and peace. Victory is certain, and it is coming soon,” the Prime Minister affirmed.
This visit is part of the Government’s local governance strategy, reflecting its goal to work closely with the armed forces to build a secure, sovereign, and resilient Burkina Faso.
