In observance of World Day for Safety and Health at Work, Congo Terminal conducted an extensive awareness campaign for nearly 900 employees, highlighting 14 “golden rules” for workplace safety.
These rules are drawn from the AGL Group’s zero-accident initiative, underscoring Congo Terminal’s dedication to a secure working environment.
Held from April 29th to 30th, 2025, the campaign reached nearly all of Congo Terminal’s employees across its sites, educating them on the 14 core health and safety principles. These rules are integral to the zero-accident plan developed and implemented by the AGL Group’s QHSE department.
HSE Manager Guy Michel Passi and his team led face-to-face sessions for all staff levels, from senior management to every employee. These sessions reinforced the fundamentals of the company’s 14 non-negotiable golden rules, adapted to Congo Terminal’s specific operational context. The rules emphasize understanding workplace hazards and risks, identifying, reporting, and addressing daily issues, and promoting the sharing of best safety practices.
“Numerous factors contribute to our excellent performance, and a healthy and safe work environment is paramount among them. At Congo Terminal, occupational health and safety is a daily priority,” stated Anthony Samzun, General Manager of Congo Terminal.
Since the start of its concession in 2009, Congo Terminal has actively pursued a robust occupational health and safety policy that encourages employee involvement. The company regularly organizes toolbox meetings, produces educational videos illustrating practical safety scenarios, and cultivates an environment conducive to achieving a zero-accident workplace.
