The Vice President of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, Tiemoko Meyliet Kone, met with the Lebanese Ambassador to Côte d’Ivoire, Magida Karaki, at the Presidential Palace in Abidjan on Wednesday, November 19, 2025.
Ambassador Karaki expressed her pleasure following a productive, warm, and constructive discussion with the Vice President, during which they focused on the excellent and long-standing relations between Lebanon and Côte d’Ivoire.
She commended the shared commitment of both nations to further strengthen these ties across all areas of common interest. A key factor in this relationship is the substantial economic contribution of Lebanese businesses operating in Côte d’Ivoire, which account for over 300 billion CFA francs of the Ivorian GDP.
The Lebanese Ambassador praised the full commitment of the Lebanese community to the economic and social development of Côte d’Ivoire, as well as the continuous attention and support provided to the community by Ivorian authorities.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Ambassador Karaki reaffirmed her strong willingness to continue the dialogue of trust and cooperation with the Ivorian authorities, emphasizing that the reinforced relationship will be mutually beneficial for both States.
