The Dangote Refinery says it has sold two cargoes of aviation fuel to Saudi Aramco, the national oil company of Saudi Arabia.
A statement by the Dangote Refinery on Wednesday in Lagos said that the President of the Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, told the members of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group, who visited the Dangote Fertiliser Limited and the Dangote Petroleum Refinery & Petrochemicals in Ibeju Lekki, Lagos State.
Dangote said that the refinery recently achieved a significant milestone by successfully exporting two cargoes of jet fuel to Saudi Aramco, the world’s largest oil producer and a leading integrated oil and gas company globally.
He stated that the refinery is reaching the ambitious goals it set for itself as it ramps up production.
“We are reaching the ambitious goals we set for ourselves, and I’m pleased to announce that we’ve just sold two cargoes of jet fuel to Saudi Aramco,” he said, adding that since its production began in 2024, the refinery has steadily increased its output, now reaching 550,000 barrels per day.
Speaking during the visit, the Chairman of the Nigeria Economic Summit Group, Mr Niyi Yusuf, commending Dangote for establishing the refinery and stated that Nigeria needs more investments of this calibre to reach its $1tn economy goal.
