Air Senegal is accelerating its fleet renewal with a major acquisition.
The national carrier on Monday signed a firm order for nine Boeing 737 Max aircraft, in the presence of Transport Minister Yankoba Diémé, on the sidelines of the 2025 Dubai Air Show.
According to the airline, the purchase is part of a broader strategy to modernise its fleet and enhance operational performance, aimed at supporting the expansion of its regional and international network.
Air Senegal says the new aircraft will deliver a “more reliable, more comfortable and more sustainable” travel experience, while strengthening Dakar’s position as a major aviation hub in West Africa.
The company welcomed the support of the Senegalese government and the commitment of its staff, reaffirming its determination to continue its development in the service of the country and the continent.
