Gabonese international footballer Mario Lemina has joined Turkish club Galatasaray from Wolverhampton Wanderers in a €2.5 million transfer.
The 31-year-old midfielder, who previously played for Galatasaray during the 2019-2020 season, has signed a one-and-a-half-year contract with the club, with an option for an additional year.
Galatasaray officially confirmed the transfer on Wednesday, stating, “An agreement has been reached with Wolverhampton Wanderers regarding the transfer of professional footballer Mario René Junior Lemina.”
Lemina joined Wolverhampton Wanderers in January 2023 and made 77 appearances for the club, scoring six goals and providing five assists.
This return to Turkey marks a significant move for Lemina, who is expected to play a key role in helping Galatasaray maintain its dominant position in the Süper Lig.
