The Malian Armed Forces (FAMa) announced that they conducted successful military operations on September 27 and 28, 2025, targeting alleged terrorist positions across central and northern Mali.
According to a statement from the General Staff, operations on September 27 involved aerial surveillance and intelligence gathering that led to the dismantling of over a dozen hideouts in the Faya and Soussan areas. The military communiqué stated that these actions inflicted human and material losses on armed groups accused of committing atrocities against civilians.
During the night of September 27–28, FAMa conducted a targeted airstrike southeast of Kidal in the north. The strike successfully neutralized two camouflaged pickup trucks detected at two separate locations; intense flames observed on one vehicle suggested the presence of explosive devices. A subsequent strike destroyed a third vehicle.
The General Staff concluded that these operations were essential to disrupting the logistics chain of hostile groups in the region, reaffirming FAMa’s commitment to ensuring territorial protection and citizen security.
