Under the special supervision of King Mohammed VI, the Bayt Mal Al Quds Al Sharif Agency has launched a large-scale humanitarian initiative aimed at supporting the suffering population of Gaza.
This multifaceted operation includes food aid, medical support, educational assistance, and the hosting of Palestinian students in Morocco—reflecting the kingdom’s ongoing, active, and targeted solidarity with the Palestinian cause.
Amid a dire humanitarian situation in Gaza, Morocco—guided by its king in his capacity as Chairman of the Al Quds Committee—has once again demonstrated its concrete and multidimensional support for the Palestinian people.
The Bayt Mal Al Quds Agency, the committee’s operational arm, announced the launch of a comprehensive support initiative for the residents of the Gaza Strip, combining emergency and structural aid.
The initiative aligns with the personal and continuous commitment of the Moroccan monarch to defending the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, especially in support of civilians affected by the ongoing crisis.
It further strengthens the humanitarian efforts Morocco has consistently deployed during critical moments in recent Palestinian history.
The operation comprises four main pillars targeting Gaza’s most urgent and long-term needs. These include the distribution of 500 food baskets to families in extreme hardship and the funding of prosthetic limbs for 23 amputee children injured in airstrikes or as a result of the conflict.
Recognising the strategic importance of education for future reconstruction, the agency is also providing digital infrastructure for Gazan university students and granting full scholarships to students enrolled at Al-Azhar University in Gaza.
Additionally, a groundbreaking initiative will see several Palestinian students welcomed and fully supported in Morocco to complete their studies at the Hassan II Agronomy and Veterinary Institute in Rabat.
This new operation adds to Morocco’s longstanding tradition of active and targeted solidarity with Palestine, embodied by King Mohammed VI’s personal leadership. As head of the Al Quds Committee, the Monarch has worked tirelessly to provide humanitarian and political support to Palestinians, even in the most challenging phases of the conflict.
Through the Bayt Mal Al Quds Agency, Morocco regularly implements development programs in education, healthcare, and the preservation of Palestinian cultural heritage, particularly in East Jerusalem. However, the current focus on Gaza signals a significant scale-up of Morocco’s assistance in response to an acute emergency.
In April, Morocco had already launched a humanitarian airlift to Gaza via Egypt, delivering medicines, infant formula, tents, and blankets.
The initiative by Bayt Mal Al Quds expands that effort into a more sustainable form of aid, targeting essential sectors such as education and the reintegration of wounded civilians.
