President Adama Barrow on Friday officially launched The Gambia Public Administration Modernization for Citizen-Centric Service Delivery Program (PAMP).
The scheme will make use of in-country mechanisms and systems to achieve national goals and objectives, a statement from President Barrow’s office said.
“The project focuses on three key inter-connected results areas that are vital for enhancing service delivery. The first pertains to attaining Enhanced Domestic Resource Mobilisation and Financial Reporting to strengthen our tax administration and policy” said President Barrow..
”Another pillar seeks to realise Enhanced Human Resource Management aligned with our Civil Service Reform agenda. The third pillar puts emphasis on Enhanced Citizen Engagement in Education seeking to foster greater transparency and accountability within the education sector” he added.
PAM is seen as a transformative initiative under the Ministry of Public Service, Administrative Reform, Policy Coordination & Delivery in collaboration with the World Bank.
