Some 9,000 visitors from around the world took part in the inaugural edition of the “Ingate” Global Insurance Conference and Exhibition, organised by the Saudi Insurance Authority, according to a statement received by APA on Monday.
The event, held in Riyadh from 10 to 12 November, concluded on Sunday with what organisers described as “broad international participation.”
Under the theme “Step into Tomorrow,” the first edition brought together “more than 150 local and international entities” and “over 100 world-class speakers,” including leading experts and executives from across the insurance industry.
More than 40 panel discussions and specialised workshops explored the future of the sector in an era defined by digital transformation, innovation and sustainability.
Spread across 15,000 square metres, the parallel exhibition offered an “immersive and interactive experience,” combining learning, networking and technological showcases.
In total, “more than 22 memorandums of understanding and cooperation agreements” were signed with domestic and international partners to modernise the insurance ecosystem, encourage digital innovation and improve service efficiency.
The event also featured the granting of new licences to insurance and brokerage companies, as well as the launch of major digital initiatives including the Reg-Tech Hub integration platform, an insurance-sector data lake, and a tool to assess the industry’s digital maturity.
Naji Al-Tamimi, Director General of the Saudi Insurance Authority, hailed the conference as “a success,” describing it as “an international platform for sharing expertise and knowledge.” He noted that Saudi Arabia’s insurance sector is “entering a new phase of confident development” aligned with Vision 2030.
For Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Ghamdi, the event’s general supervisor, this inaugural edition “confirms the Kingdom’s position as a global reference point in the insurance field.” He said the 2026 edition is expected to draw “even broader participation and deliver an even greater impact.”
