Royal Air Maroc (RAM) has signed a strategic partnership with The New Terminal One (NTO) at John F. Kennedy
International Airport (JFK) in New York, marking a key milestone in its transatlantic expansion, starting in June 2026.
Royal Air Maroc (RAM) is taking a new step in its transatlantic development by signing a strategic partnership with The New Terminal One (NTO), the brand-new terminal at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in New York.
Starting in June 2026, the Moroccan national airline will operate from this new facility, as part of a long-term agreement aimed at strengthening its presence in the North American market.
Announced this Wednesday, May 7, this relocation marks a strategic turning point for RAM, which intends to capitalise on the opening of NTO – the centerpiece of the vast JFK modernisation project led by the New York and New Jersey Airports Authority.
With a colossal budget of $19 billion, this project aims to reposition JFK as a leading global aviation hub through the creation of new terminals, the renovation of existing infrastructure, and the improvement of ground connections.
“We are delighted to welcome Royal Air Maroc to our terminal,” Jennifer Aument, President and CEO of The New Terminal One said, noting that “this partnership demonstrates a shared commitment to providing a high-quality passenger experience and marks the beginning of a new chapter in the relationship between the airline and the city of New York.”
For Hamid Addou, President and CEO of Royal Air Maroc, this agreement is fully in line with the airline’s growth strategy.
“This partnership with NTO consolidates our position on the transatlantic route and strengthens our foothold in one of the most strategic markets for Royal Air Maroc. This new terminal will provide our passengers with enhanced comfort, aligned with our standards of excellence,” he said.
Royal Air Maroc currently operates two daily flights between Casablanca and New York JFK, aboard Boeing 787
Dreamliners.
Starting in June 2026, these flights will be transferred to the new Terminal 1, where travelers will benefit from an
ultramodern infrastructure designed to streamline the passenger journey, from check-in to boarding.
Contemporary design, smart technology, high-end services, and premium shopping and dining offerings will enhance the customer experience.
With this integration, Royal Air Maroc becomes the first member of the Oneworld Alliance to join the NTO, alongside a constellation of major international airlines such as Air France, KLM, Turkish Airlines, Korean Air, Etihad, and Air New Zealand.
This strategic location confirms Royal Air Maroc’s growing strength on the Africa-Americas route and its ambition to establish itself as a global player in air transport.
