President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni Tuesday pledged support for the candidacy of an Angolan official for the position of director general of the Food and Agricultural Organization.
To this effect the Ugandan leader received a special message from his Angolan João Lourenço, during a meeting with Angola’s foreign affairs minister Téte António at his farm outside Kampala.
Museveni and the Angolan delegation discussed matters of mutual interest, including Angola’s candidature of Josefa Sacko for the position of FAO’s Director-General position.
He underscored the importance of African solidarity and cooperation in advancing the continent’s interests on the global stage.
