The 17th edition of the International Agricultural Show in Morocco (SIAM), held under the High Patronage of King Mohammed VI, will welcome significant Spanish participation.
The event, themed “Agriculture and the Rural World: Water at the Heart of Sustainable Development,” will take place in Meknès from Monday, April 21st to Sunday, April 27th, 2025.
A strong contingent of 35 Spanish companies will be present at the agricultural showcase, occupying a 411 square meter space under the Spanish national pavilion. These firms will be exhibiting a range of technological solutions specifically designed for the agricultural sector, focusing on key areas such as advanced irrigation systems, effective crop protection methods, efficient harvesting technologies, and innovative packaging solutions.
The primary objective of the Spanish presence is to promote cutting-edge equipment tailored to address the evolving challenges currently facing the agricultural sector. The Spanish pavilion is being coordinated by ICEX España Exportación e Inversiones (Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade) and the Spanish Trade Office in Casablanca. In addition to the exhibits, a dedicated conference will be held at the pavilion, with a particular emphasis on innovation and sustainable water resource management, a critical issue given the ongoing drought conditions in the Maghreb region.
This substantial participation of Spanish companies underscores their increasing interest in the Moroccan and the wider African markets. Their offerings, heavily focused on technological efficiency and sustainability, are expected to attract significant attention from agricultural professionals and stakeholders across the continent.
