President Abdel Fattal al-Sisi and his Lebanese counterpart Joseph Aoun on Monday held talks at the Al-Ittihadiya Palace in Cairo underlined by a commitment to restoring peace and stability in Lebanon.
The spokesman for the Egyptian Presidency, Mohamed El-Shennawy was quoted in a statement that the two leaders held a closed session focused on mechanisms to support Lebanon’s stability and restore regional security and peace.
This was in light of the significant challenges facing the region caused by the war in Gaza.
The two leaders also resolved to strengthen bilateral relations, particularly in the economic, infrastructure, energy, and reconstruction fields.
The two sides held a joint press conference, reviewing the outcomes of the talks.
