The High National Electoral Commission (HNEC) has concluded a two-day forum in Tripoli aimed at encouraging young people to get involved in the upcoming elections.
The event, supported by the Libya Elections Support Project, gathered dozens of young Libyans to equip them with the skills needed to boost voter participation among their peers.
The forum’s program focused on practical initiatives and strategies for mobilizing first-time and young voters. Participants engaged in training sessions, workshops, and competitions where teams presented innovative plans for voter outreach. They also had the opportunity to speak directly with the HNEC’s Outreach and Communications Department, sharing their ideas on how to increase youth engagement in the political process.
At the closing ceremony, participants received certificates in recognition of their efforts. Organizers emphasized that the success of these initiatives will be crucial for the country’s stability, underscoring the vital role young people play in strengthening Libya’s democratic future.
