The 13th high-level meeting between Morocco and Spain will take place on 4 December 2025 in Madrid, official sources in Rabat confirmed earlier this week.
The meeting will be preceded by the Morocco–Spain Economic Forum, scheduled for 3 December in the Spanish capital, according to a statement from the Moroccan Prime Minister’s Office.
The last such meeting was held on 1–2 February 2023 in Rabat.
That session was marked by the signing of several cooperation agreements across multiple sectors and by the strengthening of the strategic partnership between the two countries.
This upcoming meeting comes amid a significant improvement in relations between the neighbours, driven by the meeting between King Mohammed VI and Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez in April 2022 in Rabat, and by the Spanish government’s recognition of Morocco’s 2007 Autonomy Plan as the most serious, realistic, and credible basis for resolving the Western Sahara dispute.
The Madrid meeting is expected to represent an important milestone in bilateral relations and to provide renewed momentum for the establishment of a multidimensional partnership based on trust, ongoing dialogue, and mutual respect for commitments.
