Morocco will host the first edition of World Advanced Manufacturing & Future Mobility (WAM) from January 20 to 22, 2026.
This international trade fair aims to position the country as a continental hub for Industry 4.0, logistics, and the mobility solutions of tomorrow.
Supported by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the CGEM (Conseil d’Industrie et de la Commerce), and the AMDIE (French Industrial Development Association), the event aims to showcase the kingdom’s industrial transformation and its attractiveness to foreign investors.
According to the organizers, more than 350 exhibitors, 250 startups, and 20,000 trade visitors from 45 countries are expected in Casablanca.
The show is hosted by the Dubai World Trade Center (DWTC), which also hosts GITEX Africa. For Alex Nicholl, President of the DWTC, WAM Morocco represents “a launching pad for the next decade of innovation.”
Inspired by the GITEX model, the event has been adapted to the industrial and logistics sector. “The idea is to highlight innovation, artificial intelligence, and technology, connecting them to the concrete needs of industry and mobility,” Chakib Achour, DWTC Representative in Morocco summarised.
Two conference tracks are planned, dedicated to leadership and emerging technologies, ranging from AI to 3D printing, blockchain, quantum computing, and mixed reality.
The event is also expected to foster connections between startups and investors, while integrating cloud, cybersecurity, and telecommunications solution providers.
The organisers intend to focus on sectors considered strategic for Morocco: green energy, automotive, aeronautics, pharmaceuticals, and agrifood.
Particular emphasis will be placed on 5G connectivity and data security, two pillars of Industry 4.0.
Ahead of this, a “Meet & Connect” roadshow has already been launched in Rabat and Casablanca to mobilise economic stakeholders and establish the WAM brand in the local landscape.
With this event, Morocco confirms its ambitions for industrial leadership on the African continent. The organisation of WAM Morocco is part of a broader dynamic: the modernisation of infrastructure and
logistics, in support of the major sporting events that the country will host, from the Africa Cup of Nations in 2025 to the 2030 World Cup to be cohosted with Spain and Portugal.
For Moroccan authorities, these international events go beyond their sporting dimension: they are seen as levers to accelerate the transformation of the productive base, develop smart cities, and strengthen the country’s integration into global value chains.
