The Moroccan Ministry of Tourism has reported a significant surge in tourist arrivals, with the Kingdom welcoming 5.7 million visitors in the first four months of 2025.
This figure represents a substantial 23 percent increase compared to the same period in 2024.
In a press release issued to APA, the Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts, and the Social and Solidarity Economy highlighted that this sustained growth underscores Morocco’s strong and strategic position within the global tourism landscape.
This impressive performance translates to an additional one million visitors in just four months, firmly establishing the Kingdom as one of the fastest-growing tourist destinations worldwide.
April alone saw 1.7 million tourist arrivals, marking a 27 percent increase year-on-year. This indicates a growing attractiveness that extends beyond the traditional peak seasons. Tourism Minister Fatim-Zahra Ammor hailed these results as an encouraging sign for the remainder of the year.
“Welcoming an additional million visitors at the beginning of the year, a period traditionally considered slower, is a strong indicator for the tourism outlook for 2025,” she stated.
Minister Ammor further emphasized that this positive momentum is a direct result of the ongoing implementation of the national tourism roadmap. This strategic plan aims to leverage Morocco’s inherent strengths while anchoring the sector’s development in a sustainable and resilient manner.
