Some prominent blue-chip companies have again demonstrated their support for Online publications in Nigeria with over 10 companies supporting the hosting of the Realnews 14th Anniversary Lecture of Realnews magazine in Lagos on Thursday, November 19, 2026.

Expressing the appreciation of Realnews to the organisations, Chigbo expressed her deep appreciation to all the banks, institutions, companies, and other organisations that have placed online advertisements on the Realnews website in the last 14 years.
“Without their support, we would not have remained in business all through the years to do what we love most – investigative journalism,” she said.
She disclosed that the theme of Realnews’s 14th Anniversary Lecture is “Geopolitical Turbulence and Energy Security: Forging Strategic Opportunities for Africa” and that Dr. Omar Farouk Ibrahim will deliver the lecture, while the event will be chaired by Engr. Debo Fagbami, Managing Director, NEDO Gas Development Company (NEDOGAS).
She added that the keynote speaker is Engr. Chuka Eze, Managing Director, Frazimex Engineering Limited, while Dr. Sophia Horsfall, General Manager, External Relations and Sustainable Development, Nigeria LNG Limited, NLNG, and Dr. Obinna Ezeobi, General Manager, Corporate Communications, Nigeria Content Development and Monitoring Board, will be discussants at the event.
According to Chigbo, the speakers will be inducted into the prestigious Realnews Hall of Fame immediately after the Lecture.
“Realnews, a general interest magazine, is an online publication that thrives on investigative journalism. We have expertise in reporting on the oil and gas sector with its attendant environmental challenges. We aim to unearth exclusive stories about real people and the challenges they face in their day-to-day activities. We do this bearing in mind that the government can only act to influence the lives of people positively if they are aware of their true situation,” she added.
