Following the stages in Tbilisi, Georgia, and A Coruña, Spain, the Mexican event is the third of four tournaments this season, before the final scheduled for October 2-4 in Salzburg, Austria.
The competitions will take place at the Complejo Panamericano de Gimnasia (Polideportivo CODE López Mateos), where participants will try to earn points to improve their position in the WKF world

The host country, Mexico, will field the largest delegation with 131 athletes, followed by Colombia (47) and Venezuela (37).
The tournament will bring together the senior individual kata and kumite categories for men and women, as well as the men’s and women’s team kata events.
Matches will be held in a single-elimination bracket.
The first day will be dedicated to individual kata competitions, as well as the women’s (+68 kg) and men’s (+84 kg) kumite categories.
The other kumite categories and the team kata events will be held on Saturday and Sunday, with the finals and bronze medal matches scheduled at the end of each day.
Reserved for senior athletes, this Karate One Series A competition is one of the WKF’s main international circuits.
The city of Guadalajara will also host a stage of the Karate One Youth League, dedicated to young karatekas, from September 17 to 20.
