The Agency for Heritage Development and Cultural Promotion (AMVPPC) has announced that admission to heritage sites will be free this Friday, April 18, 2025, at all sites, monuments, and museums under its authority.
This measure, which provides free admission to heritage sites on April 18, applies to all Tunisian citizens and foreign residents, upon presentation of a national identity card or residence permit.
It is part of the celebration of International Day for Sites and Monuments.
The AMVPPC also stated that the free admission also applies on other key dates – the first Sunday of each month, May 18 (International Museum Day), and during public holidays.
This initiative aims to increase public access to Tunisian cultural heritage while raising awareness about its conservation. It is part of a broader policy of democratization of culture, supported by the desire to encourage regular attendance at heritage spaces, particularly by young people and families.
