All 15 people on board a passenger plane as the iarcraft crashed in South Sudan, the country’s civil aviation authority (SSCAA) confirmed on Monday.
The South Sudan Civil Aviation Authority (SSCAA) in a statement blamed the crash on adverse weather conditions.
According to the flight manifest 13 South Sudanese and two Kenyans were on board the doomed plane as it plunged from the skies 20km southwest of Juba on Monday due to what the SSCAA said may have been poor visibility.
The victims bodies were charred beyond recognition, local media reported.
It has taken off from the town of Yei and lost contact with air traffic control 30 minutes after takeoff.
SSCAA officials said the crash of the plane, a Cessna 208 Caravan is being investigated, coming just over a year after 20 oil workers were killed in an air tragedy in Unity State.
However, its worst air disaster took place in 2015, when 41 people on an Antonov plane were killed after it crashed near Juba airport.
South Sudan suffered over 50 plane crashes since 2011. the year of its independence from Sudan.
