The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has announced that eight ships arrived at the Lekki, Tin-Can Island and Apapa ports in Lagos, awaiting discharge of petroleum products and other cargoes.
The NPA stated in its publication, “Shipping Position” in Lagos that the vessels are laden with petrol, diesel, fertiliser, gasoline and bulk stock.
According to the publication, 44 ships carrying petroleum products, food items and other goods are expected at the Apapa, Lekki and Tin-Can Island ports between April 10 and April 15.
It listed the expected cargoes to include buckwheat, containers, fresh fish, crude oil, bulk wheat, petrol, bulk salt, base oil, bulk gypsum, bulk urea, aviation fuel and general cargo.
Meanwhile, 25 other ships are currently discharging cargoes at the ports and the cargoes being handled include containers, petrol, soya beans, crude oil, diplomatic cargo, bulk wheat, bulk sugar, fresh fish, diesel, aviation fuel and bulk urea.
