According to the AU Commission, the discussions focused on the organisation of this ministerial meeting, with both officials reaffirming their commitment to ensuring a “successful and results-oriented” session in order to advance the implementation of the African Union’s priorities.
Youssouf commended Morocco’s “constructive engagement” and “its valuable contributions” to the work of the continental organisation. He also stressed the importance of close cooperation between member states in order to strengthen the effectiveness of the African Union and accelerate the implementation of its agenda.
