Guinean President Mamadi Doumbouya is scheduled to depart Conakry on Monday for New York to attend the 81st regular session of the United Nations General Assembly.
According to an official statement from the presidency, Doumbouya’s participation aims to reinforce Guinea’s diplomatic partnerships and present the nation’s key strategic priorities on a global platform focused on international cooperation, economic development, and regional peace.
The head of state’s departure from Ahmed Sékou Touré International Airport will be marked by an official ceremony attended by cabinet ministers, heads of state institutions, senior military leadership, and members of the international diplomatic corps. The annual United Nations gathering provides a central diplomatic forum for Guinea to engage multilateral partners, advance foreign policy objectives, and address international economic and security issues.
