Amina Orfi and Mostafa Asal from Egypt have won the titles at the 2026 PSA World Championship, held at Palm Hills Golf Central in Giza, Egypt.
According to the statement from the International Squash Federation, the competition concluded on May 17, 2026, with the two Egyptian players taking the title, confirming the host country’s dominance in this edition.
In the women’s final, Amina Orfi defeated her compatriot Nour El Sherbini in a hard-fought 106-minute match that went to five sets (6-11, 11-6, 11-9, 7-11, 14-12).
At just 18 years and 10 months old, she became the youngest world champion in the history of the PSA circuit.
This final also set a record for the longest women’s world final to go to five sets in this format.
In the men’s draw, Mostafa Asal retained his world title, defeating Youssef Ibrahim in three sets (11-4, 11-1, 12-10). This marks his 29th career title on the PSA circuit.
Youssef Ibrahim, for his part, was playing in his first world final, following a remarkable run highlighted by victories against Paul Coll in the quarterfinals and Karim Abdel Gawad in the semifinals.
The tournament was also marked by several particularly long and intense matches, notably the semifinal won by Amina Orfi against Hania El Hammamy after 103 minutes of play.
The finals featured four Egyptian players, once again illustrating Egypt’s dominance in world squash.
