The list of the 100 most influential Africans of 2026 was unveiled this Monday in Casablanca, highlighting leaders who excel in credibility, integrity, and continental impact.
Developed by the Global Reputation Forum in collaboration with Reputation Poll International, this selection moves beyond mere popularity or material success to focus on individuals whose leadership and career paths demonstrate measurable influence. In a global landscape where reputation serves as a strategic asset for attracting investment and building diplomatic ties, the award emphasizes the vital role of trust and the alignment of personal values with professional actions.
The 2026 edition places a significant spotlight on Moroccan talent across a wide range of sectors. In the institutional and business spheres, Ryad Mezzour, the Minister of Industry and Trade, was honored for his efforts in industrial competitiveness, while Moncef Belkhayat and Hasnae Taleb were recognized for their leadership in investment and international finance. Civil society and environmental efforts were represented by the humanitarian work of Hind Laidi and the ecological commitment of Hakima El Haite. The sports world also featured prominently, with national football coach Walid Regragui and athlete Hassan Baraka noted for enhancing the global image of African sports.
Innovation and science were further pillars of the Moroccan contingent, with Hajar Mousannif recognized for her work in artificial intelligence and Youness Ahallal for his medical expertise. Abderrazak Yousfi was also highlighted for his contributions to the media and digital sectors. Beyond Morocco’s borders, the list reflects the immense diversity of the continent, including world-renowned Egyptian heart surgeon Magdi Yacoub and Nigerian social leader Olori Atuwatse III. Available in full on the Reputation Poll International platform, this year’s list serves as both a tribute to ethical leadership and a reminder that moral credibility remains essential for shaping Africa’s future.
