Liberian President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., has extended warm congratulations to the Government and people of France on the occasion of their National Day, Bastille Day, observed on July 14, 2025.
In a message addressed to his French counterpart, Emmanuel Macron, President Boakai conveyed Liberia’s warmest wishes as France commemorated this historic landmark, according to a Foreign Ministry release.
President Boakai noted that as the people of France celebrate this significant moment in their national history, Liberia stands in solidarity, honoring the enduring values of liberty, equality, and fraternity that have inspired nations globally. The Liberian leader emphasized his government’s salute to the resilience, cultural riches, and global contributions of the French people.
He highlighted the longstanding relationship between France and Liberia, characterizing it as one marked by mutual respect, cooperation, and shared ideals. President Boakai specifically acknowledged and appreciated France’s consistent support over the years in crucial areas such as development, education, health, and multilateral diplomacy.
“We remain committed to deepening our partnership and working closely together to address global challenges and promote peace, stability, and prosperity for all,” President Boakai stated.
He concluded by wishing President Macron sincere congratulations and best wishes for continued peace, progress, and well-being for the people of France.
