The Libyan Chief of Staff, Mohamed Al-Haddad, has commended the Libyan military personnel who participated in the regional peacekeeping exercise “Africa Peace 3” for their exceptional discipline and professionalism.
The exercise, organized by Algeria, marks a significant step in Libya’s efforts to professionalize and standardize its armed forces.
“Africa Peace 3,” held under the auspices of the North African Regional Capability (NARC), simulated critical operations including civilian protection, humanitarian response, and stabilization in challenging environments. The exercise served as an invaluable training opportunity, allowing participants to standardize procedures, test interoperability with regional partners, and strengthen their chain of command.
Libya’s participation sends a dual message: It demonstrates Tripoli’s willingness to contribute to regional security efforts beyond its borders. It highlights the commitment to professionalizing the military, aligning it with multinational standards, and accelerating capacity building.
According to the General Staff, the ultimate goal is to translate the performance from these exercises into tangible effectiveness on the ground, ensuring better-trained units, well-maintained equipment, and robust logistics.
