Morocco’s automotive market closed 2025 on a markedly strong note, confirming a sharp recovery from 2024, according to data released by the Association of Vehicle Importers in Morocco (AIVAM).
A total of 235,372 new vehicles were registered by the end of December.
Overall sales recorded robust growth both in December and across the full year, the association said.
In December 2025 alone, total new vehicle sales reached 27,354 units, up from 22,622 units in December 2024, representing a year-on-year increase of 20.92%. The expansion was driven by gains in both the passenger vehicle (PV) and light commercial vehicle (LCV) segments, AIVAM noted.
Passenger vehicle sales rose by 19.88%, with 24,453 units sold in December 2025 compared with 20,398 a year earlier. Light commercial vehicles posted an even stronger performance, surging by 30.44%, from 2,224 to 2,901 units over the same period.
Passenger vehicles continued to account for the bulk of sales in December 2025, reflecting sustained household demand amid a gradual economic recovery and ongoing renewal of the national vehicle fleet.
For the year as a whole, Morocco’s automotive market totalled 235,372 units sold by end-December 2025, up from 176,401 units at the end of 2024. This represents annual growth of 33.43%, a level rarely seen in recent years.
Breaking down the figures, cumulative passenger vehicle sales reached 208,848 units, marking a 32.91% increase compared with 2024. Light commercial vehicle sales recorded even faster growth, with 26,524 units sold—up 37.70% year on year, according to the same source.
