Aya Gold & Silver Inc. has announced significant advancements in its Moroccan operations, including the acquisition of six new exploration permits and the commencement of a drilling program at Zgounder Far East.
These new permits expand the Zgounder exploration area by 11.9 percent, now exceeding 452.7 square kilometers.
The RC (Reverse Circulation) drilling program at Zgounder Far East initiated on June 22. This program specifically targets four strong geochemical anomalies identified for silver (Ag), copper (Cu), and gold (Au), with an initial planned metric of 2,250 meters.
Aya Gold & Silver Inc. also reported high-grade silver results from its ongoing exploration drilling program at the Zgounder silver mine. The company highlighted that these activities, including diamond drilling where individual core samples are sectioned for analysis, are part of their strategy to enhance understanding of the deposit and potentially increase high-grade ounces within and near the open-pit area. Upcoming plans include an expansion of open-pit operations, further resource enhancement, and continued exploration in both open-pit and underground areas.
The company’s forward-looking statements regarding mineralization continuity, grade, increased high-grade ounces, expansion plans, resource enhancement, and exploration results are subject to inherent risks and uncertainties. These include, but are not limited to, challenges in obtaining government approvals, fluctuations in economic conditions, changes in global prices for silver and other key inputs, and modifications to mine plans (such as throughput and recovery rates affected by metallurgical characteristics, including Ag-Cu and Au, and the Touchkal blocks, which are expected to significantly increase the potential of the Zgounder regional project).
