At the Karate 1 – Series A tournament, held from April 24 to 26, 2026, in La Coruña, Spain, Morocco distinguished itself with a bronze medal and several victories in kumite, according to the Royal Moroccan Federation of Karate and Associated Disciplines.
At the tournament in La Coruña, Spain, Morocco secured bronze in the women’s team kata event thanks to Sanae Agalmam, Aya En-Nesyry, and Israa El Kahri.
This performance was achieved at the Karate 1 – Series A, a competition recognised by the World Karate Federation (WKF), which serves as a venue for international rankings in kata and kumite.
The trio stated that they demonstrated “technical discipline and precision” throughout the competition.
In kumite, Salah Eddine Koubidi defeated Latvian Aleksandrs Obernihins 5-2. Ahmed Haddadi also won his bout against American Dorta Janco (10-6) in a high-intensity match.
According to the Royal Moroccan Federation of Karate and Associated Disciplines, these results reflect “the technical and physical progress of Moroccan karate.”
The federation also highlights a dynamic supported by structured training programs. The national coaching staff emphasises “the continuity of work and rigor in the preparation of athletes.”
