The Ministry of Information and Civic Education is currently holding a two-day staff retreat at the Country Lodge Hotel in Hill Station.
The retreat aims to review the Ministry’s achievements from the previous year and develop a comprehensive strategy for achieving transformative outcomes in 2025.
In his opening address, Minister of Information and Civic Education, Chernor Bah, commended the staff for their dedication and hard work throughout 2024. He emphasized the importance of continuous improvement and encouraged each member of the Ministry to strive for excellence in their respective roles. Minister Bah famously stated, “The reward for hard work is more work,” highlighting the need for sustained effort and a commitment to achieving ambitious goals.
The retreat provides a valuable platform for staff members to reflect on past successes, identify areas for improvement, and collaboratively develop a strategic plan for the coming year. This includes identifying key priorities, developing action plans, and allocating resources effectively to achieve desired outcomes.
The Ministry is eager to implement bold and progressive initiatives in 2025, focusing on enhancing public communication, promoting civic engagement, and fostering a more informed and engaged citizenry. The retreat will play a crucial role in shaping the Ministry’s agenda and ensuring that its activities effectively support the government’s development objectives.
