The city of Agadir will host the second edition of the EPIK Summer Academy from June 25 to 29, a pan-African programme dedicated to leadership, skills development, and artificial intelligence.
Some 200 participants from more than 20 African countries are expected in the southwestern Moroccan city from June 25 to 29 for the second edition of the programme, organised by the pan-African association EPIK Leaders.
The event will be held at Lunja Village and will bring together students, young entrepreneurs, and community leaders around a scheme focused on innovation, leadership, and the transformation of human capital in Africa.
According to the organisers, this edition builds on the success of the first edition, with the ambition of expanding the scheme’s impact on African youth. The five-day residential format is based on
experiential learning, peer-to-peer exchange, and the completion of collaborative projects.
Under the theme “Next-Gen Africa: The Artificial Intelligence Playbook for Leadership,” the event will focus on the challenges related to artificial intelligence and its use in the continent’s economic and social development processes.
Several panels are planned, notably on the capacity of young Africans to participate in future technological innovations and on new forms of leadership in the digital age.
The scheme will include training in project management, team management, and impact communication, along with certification opportunities in partnership with international academic institutions.
Participants will also take part in a personal development module based on psychometric assessments, as well as a hackathon dedicated to artificial intelligence.
Networking and team-building activities will complement the program to foster exchanges between young people from different regions of the continent.
The organisers believe that these interactions are essential for strengthening African collaborations in entrepreneurship, innovation, and civic engagement.
Founded in 2025, EPIK Leaders reports having over 50,000 members, 550 active clubs, and a presence in more than 15 African countries.
Accordng to the organisation, its mission is to support young African talent through leadership, training, and social innovation programmes.
