She further indicated that the discussions reflected a spirit of responsibility and a shared commitment to developing Arab public administration and strengthening its capacity to meet future demands.
For her part, the Executive Secretary of ESCWA, Rania Al-Mashat, stated that the forum’s work demonstrated the need “to build a competent and efficient Arab public administration” in the face of structural pressures on governance systems, adding that innovation has now become an essential choice for modernizing public administration.
This event, she said, highlighted the wealth of innovative experiences and initiatives across the Arab region, both at the governmental level and through the contributions of experts and practitioners, thereby strengthening regional cooperation and the exchange of expertise.
According to her, participants emphasized the importance of leveraging innovation as a pillar for public administration reform, through the promotion of institutional innovation, the transition to digital governance, investment in human capital, the development of proactive governance, and support for the regional network for innovation in public administration.
On the sidelines of the forum’s closing ceremony, Ms. Seghrouchni and the Lebanese Minister of State for Administrative Development Affairs, Fadi Makki, signed a declaration of intent aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation and the exchange of expertise in the field of digital transformation and administrative modernisation.
