The 2025 CAF Super Cup will feature a highly anticipated North African derby as Egypt’s Pyramids FC takes on Morocco’s Renaissance Sportive de Berkane (RS Berkane) this Saturday, October 18.
The prestigious match, which annually pits the continent’s two top club champions against each other, will be held at the June 30 Stadium in Cairo.
Pyramids FC enters the Super Cup as the reigning CAF Champions League champion, making its historic first appearance in the event. Meanwhile, RS Berkane, the current Confederation Cup winner, will be aiming for its second Super Cup title, having previously lifted the trophy in 2022. The event, which began in 1993, has historically been dominated by Egyptian clubs, with Al Ahly holding a record eight titles.
The match promises to be intense, with high stakes extending beyond continental bragging rights: the champion will be awarded a $500,000 prize, while the runner-up receives $250,000.
