Egypt has officially announced the second edition of the El Alamein International Aerospace Exhibition (EIAS 2026), bringing together the Egyptian Air Force alongside global defense, space, and aviation industry leaders.
According to the Egyptian Ministry of Defence spokesperson, the high-profile event will run from September 8 to 10, 2026, at El Alamein International Airport, kickstarting with a dedicated media conference on September 7.
The international showcase will serve as a convergence point for major actors in air defense, space technologies, aeronautics, and global navigation. Air Force Commander Lieutenant General Amr Saqr affirmed that Egypt is fully prepared to host the prestigious summit, emphasizing that the air show aims to unlock new avenues for multilateral cooperation in manufacturing military, commercial, and private aircraft, as well as advancing specialized space technologies. Minister of Civil Aviation Sameh Elhefny added that the event provides an unmatched forum for industry leaders to share insights and track the rapid evolution of modern aviation technologies.
First launched in 2024, the exhibition is designed to connect key aviation and space stakeholders across Africa and the Middle East, drawing active participation from the Egyptian Ministry of Defence, the Egyptian Air Force, the Ministry of Civil Aviation, the Egyptian Space Agency, and national carrier EgyptAir. Maged Ismail, Director General of the Egyptian Space Agency, described EIAS 2026 as a premier regional platform for defense institutions and aerospace innovators. Over the three-day showcase, attendees will experience aerial displays, high-level technical conferences, and an extensive trade exhibition featuring cutting-edge products and services intended to foster strategic commercial partnerships across the region.
