The President of the Gabonese Republic, Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema, on Thursday reiterated his firm commitment to establishing exemplary governance based on a policy of “zero tolerance” for corruption and impunity.
President Oligui Nguema held a high-level working session at the Palais de la Rénovation on October 23, 2025, with a delegation from the judiciary, including Alex Euv Moutsiangou, First President of the Court of Auditors, and Eddy Minang, Attorney General at the Libreville Court of Appeal.
The meeting, which was also attended by the Ministers of Justice, Interior, and National Defense, focused on strengthening discipline, transparency, and integrity across the public administration.
During the session, President Oligui Nguema issued specific directives, ordering the immediate opening of audits and investigations into all financial institutions. He further called upon judges to demonstrate unwavering rigor and impartiality in their duties to put an end to impunity within the country.
This meeting is a follow-up to the formal opening of the Courts and Tribunals on October 6, during which the Head of State first called on justice stakeholders to restore citizens’ confidence in the judicial system.
