The head of the Libyan Presidential Council, Mohamed al-Menfi, has reinforced international judicial coordination in the sensitive case concerning Saif al-Islam Kadhafi.
Al-Menfi convened a meeting with a team of internationally recognised legal experts to review the latest procedural and judicial developments related to Saif al-Islam Kadhafi’s assassination case.
According to the Libyan presidential office, the discussions focused on technical and judicial aspects aimed at ensuring that investigations adhere to internationally recognised standards.
The meeting explored ways to strengthen cooperation between Libyan authorities and the international team, with particular emphasis on procedural mechanisms and methodological oversight of investigations.
The stated goal is “to reach the full truth” while upholding principles of justice and transparency.
During the session, al-Menfi signed a memorandum of understanding with the international legal team to coordinate efforts, intensify joint work on evidence collection, and ensure proper tracking of related cases.
The protocol also outlines technical cooperation to structure investigative materials and guarantee their traceability.
The Presidential Council head reaffirmed his “full commitment to establishing the foundations of justice and preventing impunity,” stressing the need for competent institutions to operate independently
and professionally.
This initiative is part of a broader effort to consolidate national stability through adherence to judicial standards and enhanced institutional credibility.
The cooperation comes amid increased scrutiny of sensitive judicial cases in Libya. The authorities intend to use international collaboration to frame proceedings legally and demonstrate their commitment to aligning investigations with international law and transparency expectations.
