Military personnel stationed in Bamako and Kati will now be required to refuel exclusively at six designated service stations.
The measure reserving six service stations for military personnel in Bamako and Kati followed reports of soldiers being seen waiting in civilian lines for fuel.
According to a statement from the General Staff of the Armed Forces, three stations in Bamako and three in Kati are now reserved for the defense and security forces.
In Bamako: Petro Bama Sirakoro (near the OMAP), Soyatt Missabougou (at the bottom of the 3rd bridge), and Petro Bama Djicoroni Para (near the Réal stadium).
In Kati: Soyatt Koulouba, Petro Bama Fouga, and Petro Bama Malibougou (near the market).
The General Staff specifies that any soldier arriving at another station will have to wait in the regular line, without priority service. This decision comes amid severe fuel supply tensions.
These actions have led to significant shortages and long queues in the capital.
The statement concludes by reiterating that the chiefs of staff, directors of services, and the commander of headquarters are responsible for ensuring the strict implementation of these
directives.
