The Moroccan National Airports Office (ONDA) has launched a major campaign and a series of initiatives to immerse travelers in the excitement of the upcoming 2025 Total Energies Africa
Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco.
“In collaboration with the Local Organizing Committee and CAF, ONDA is rolling out a series of initiatives at the Kingdom’s airports on the eve of the 2025 CAF Awards, scheduled for November 19 in Rabat, and in anticipation of the 2025 Total Energies Africa Cup of Nations,” the National Airports Office stated.
“Through this visual and sensory approach, ONDA is transforming transit areas into vibrant celebration venues.” Monumental arches, XXL trophies, immersive tunnels, interactive fan zones,” the Office announced in a press release on Monday, emphasising that the goal is to transform Moroccan airports into the premier arenas of emotion and shared experience, where football
becomes a universal language of welcome, pride, and African unity.
In partnership with the territorial authorities of the Ministry of the Interior, the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), the Royal Gendarmerie, and the Customs and Indirect Taxes Administration (ADII), as well as the Ministry of Transport and Logistics, the Office is implementing enhanced coordination to offer passengers a smooth and secure experience.
This initiative began with the initial rollout to welcome delegations, African football legends, nominees, officials, and international media traveling to Morocco for the 2025 CAF Awards.
It will then be progressively and systematically implemented leading up to the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), scheduled from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026.
“This initiative by ONDA and its partners illustrates the complementary roles of national stakeholders mobilized around the Royal Moroccan Football Federation. From runways to stands, from airport terminals to stadiums, a single message will resonate: Morocco welcomes Africa with passion and pride,” the statement reads.
