Just days ahead of the start of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2025, Morocco’s National Airports Authority (ONDA) has unveiled its institutional promotional video, “Welcome Football, Welcome Fans.”
In a press release published on Friday, the agency affirmed that all airports across the kingdom are fully mobilised to welcome football fans, delegations, and teams participating in the continental competition under the best possible conditions.
“The kingdom’s airports are on the frontline and intend to fully play their role as genuine gateways to celebrate the Total Energies Africa Cup of Nations 2025 in collaboration with the Local Organising Committee and CAF,” ONDA indicated in its statement.
All airports linked to the competition are currently implementing enhanced organisational measures to manage the anticipated passenger flows.
Orientation zones, multilingual signage, mobilised assistance teams, and continuous operational monitoring will ensure optimal support immediately upon arrival on Moroccan soil.
In close cooperation with the Ministry of Interior, the DGSN (National Security), the Royal Gendarmerie, Customs, and the Ministry of Transport and Logistics, Moroccan airports declared their readiness to meet the event’s requirements.
Morocco has dedicated human and material investments and worked on improving capacities and modernising infrastructure for this event, aiming to ensure smooth passenger journeys in anticipation of this major sporting event, which will bring together thousands of fans from all continents.
The “Welcome Football, Welcome Fans” spot, which instantly invites the traveler to embrace the festive atmosphere, serves as the central theme of the system being deployed across the kingdom’s airports. This includes an immersive experience where fans will encounter monumental arches, XXL trophies, illuminated tunnels, and interactive fan zones.
With this setup, ONDA, in collaboration with the Local Organising Committee and CAF, reaffirms its commitment to hosting AFCON 2025 in the kingdom’s airports, featuring reinforced arrangements and an optimised passenger experience.
“Every arrival will mark the beginning of a sporting, cultural, and human adventure that unites the continent’s nations and their supporters. ‘Airports of Morocco’ welcome the world with the ambition of providing fans with a memorable entry into the competition,” the statement concluded.
Ths year’s AfCON will be held in Morocco from December 21 to January 18.
