The Moroccan indoor football team won the international tournament organised by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation on Sunday, defeating Portugal 6-3 in the final.
In the futsal final, held at the Mohammed VI Football Complex, the Atlas Lions distinguished themselves thanks to a hat-trick from Ismail Amazal, complemented by goals from Soufiane Chaaraoui, Othmane Idrissi, and Anas Dahhani.
This performance confirms the team’s upward momentum, having comfortably dominated China in the semifinals (8-0).
This victory demonstrates the rise of Moroccan futsal on the international stage, as the kingdom continues to invest in its sports infrastructure and the development of lesser-known disciplines.
