Moroccan striker Ayoub El Kaabi, the author of a brace against Panserraikos, has surpassed the symbolic milestone of 50 goals for Olympiacos FC in the Greek Super League.
In the 26th round of the Greek Super League, the Moroccan secured a 2-1 victory for his team, confirming his consistency since arriving in Piraeus. With these goals, El Kaabi has established himself as one of the club’s key attacking assets.
During his first season with Olympiacos, he scored 17 goals, followed by 18 the following season.
This season, the Moroccan international has already netted 15 times. Across all competitions, he has made 27 appearances, scoring 16 goals and providing 2 assists. His contract with the Greek club runs until June 2026.
Acrobatic bicycle kicks as his trademark
Before shining in Greece, El Kaabi distinguished himself in Morocco with his spectacular skills. With Wydad Athletic Club during the 2020-2021 season, he scored 26 goals in 43 matches. Several of his
goals, notably in the CAF Champions League against Horoya AC, were acrobatic bicycle kicks.
In June 2021, he scored two more spectacular goals in the Moroccan league, against Renaissance Berkane and then Difaâ Hassani El Jadida.
With the Moroccan national football team, he also made a name for himself during the 2022 World Cup qualifiers, scoring against Guinea-Bissau (5-0) in October 2021. Originally from Casablanca, El
Kaabi began his career at Racing Casablanca before joining RS Berkane, then Wydad AC. After stints at Hebei FC in China and Al Sadd SC in Qatar, he gradually built his reputation as a goal scorer before establishing himself at Olympiacos.
