European energy solutions provider Petrotec is expanding its support for Angola’s fuel station network, reinforcing its commitment to the country’s downstream oil sector.
With over 40 years of experience, Petrotec specialises in fuel station equipment, storage solutions, payment automation, electric mobility and hydrogen technology – key components that align with Angola’s downstream development strategy.
In 2024, Petrotec hosted a delegation from Angola’s national oil company Sonangol at its facilities, presenting cutting-edge technologies in fuel mobility and forecourt equipment.
The delegation toured Petrotec’s research and development unit, exploring the company’s vision for next-generation fuel infrastructure, along with visits to innovation centres and industrial plants producing electric vehicle chargers.
The Angolan government has prioritised downstream expansion to enhance domestic fuel distribution networks and attract foreign investment.
The move comes as Angola pushes for greater infrastructure development to strengthen its position as a regional petroleum distributor.
Petrotec’s growing footprint in Angola reflects international confidence in the country’s petroleum market and its efforts to modernise fuel mobility infrastructure.
The company will this year showcase its advanced mobility solutions while participating as a silver sponsor in the upcoming Angola Oil & Gas (AOG) 2025 conference.
Petrotec’s role at AOG 2025, Angola’s largest oil and gas event, is expected to drive collaboration among key industry stakeholders, fostering strategic partnerships for the country’s evolving energy sector.
The event, taking place in Luanda on September 3-4, will serve as a critical platform for advancing deals and investment initiatives in Angola’s oil and gas industry.
