Senegalese Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko departed Dakar on Friday, June 20, 2025, for an official visit to China, his office announced via its official Facebook page.
The visit aims to strengthen bilateral cooperation between Senegal and China.
His itinerary includes meetings with Chinese authorities, talks on strategic investment projects, and the signing of deals in the fields of infrastructure, energy, education, and technology.
PM Sonko is accompanied by a delegation comprising several government ministers and private sector representatives.
The visit seeks to deepen economic ties between the two nations and to secure partnerships in support of Senegal’s National Sovereignty Plan.
