Energy giants TotalEnergies and ExxonMobil are set to lead dedicated vendor procurement workshops during the pre-conference program of Angola Oil & Gas (AOG) 2026 on September 8 in Luanda.
Facilitated by Patricia Campos, Head of Procurement and Contracts at TotalEnergies, and Adão Costa, Procurement Manager at ExxonMobil, the interactive sessions aim to provide local suppliers with direct technical visibility into compliance standards, vendor qualification criteria, and supply chain opportunities across Angola’s offshore upstream developments ahead of the main summit on September 9–10.
The workshops arrive amid major capital deployment across both operators’ regional portfolios. TotalEnergies is currently advancing its multi-billion-dollar deepwater Kaminho project in Kwanza Basin Block 20/11, featuring a 70,000-barrel-per-day zero-flaring FPSO targeted for first oil in 2028. Following license extensions on strategic producing assets such as Block 32 and the achievement of first gas from the Quiluma field via the New Gas Consortium in 2026, the operator’s procurement pipeline covers extensive long-term operational and engineering needs.
Simultaneously, ExxonMobil is executing a dual strategy of mature asset redevelopment and frontier exploration across Angola. The company recently awarded a major subsea tieback contract to Subsea7 for the Likembe Redevelopment 2.0 Project in Block 15, while extending production rights for the Mondo and Saxi-Batuque fields through 2037. Coupled with ongoing subsurface evaluation across newly acquired deepwater exploration blocks in the Benguela and Namibe Basins alongside partner agency ANPG, the September 8 workshops are structured to ensure local service companies can effectively integrate into these major international contracting frameworks.
