The 7th edition of the INTERTEX International Textile and Apparel Exhibition opened on Thursday, October 16, at the Sousse Exhibition Center in Tunisia.
Running until October 18, INTERTEX Sousse brings together hundreds of professionals, industrialists, and experts from across the textile sector, serving as a hub for exchange, innovation, and economic partnership between Tunisia and participating countries.
More than 250 exhibitors and 700 business representatives from Tunisia and abroad are taking part in the event. The program features B2B meetings, conferences, startup showcases, and fashion sessions, highlighting the latest trends and technologies in textiles, apparel, fashion design, and industrial equipment.
The exhibition gathers Tunisian and international companies, innovative startups, and professional associations committed to sustainable development and circular economy practices.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, the Governor of Sousse underscored the strategic importance of Tunisia’s textile industry, describing it as a key driver of the national economy, a major source of jobs and exports, and a symbol of the country’s recognised industrial know-how.
The event was inaugurated in the presence of numerous economic and institutional delegations, reflecting the growing reputation of Sousse as a Mediterranean textile hub.
